39th plate of album with 60 19th-century costume plates and 1 drawing of mostly women's historical costumes, featuring a variety of designs for traditional costumes from different parts of the world, as well as costumes for literary characters, including Esmeralda. This plate consists of a woman wearing a baby costume, made up of a white, calf-length dress with lace ruffles in the neck and cuffs, as well as in the front part of the skirt, a white lace baby-hat on her head with a mill motif, and white gloves, stockings and shoes. She holds a thin bundle of white flowers on one hand, and three toy soldiers on the other.
