Bouquets et Frondaisons (Flowers and Foliage), Pl. 14
Fourteenth plate of album with 20 pochoir pattern plates, titled "Bouquets et Frondaisons" (Flowers and foliage), created by Émile-Allain Séguy and published in Paris by Charles Massin and in New York by Brentano's around 1925. The plate contains three ornamental designs, possibly for textiles or wallpapers, with lively, semi-abstract motifs inspired from nature. The first design is made up of alternating bundles of semi-abstract flowers and scrolling leaves, colored with red and shades of green, and with purple shadows, on a purplish-red ground. The second design is made up of semi-abstract fountain motifs, colored with white and bluish-green, flanked by thin, elongated trees, colored with shades of green, on a green ground with interlacing paths colored with brown. The third design is made up of bundles of corn ears, the corn colored with white and outlined with light green, the corn silk colored with orange, and the husks with dark green, on a white background with black and purple vertical stripes.
