Floréal, Pl. 3
Third plate of album with 20 pochoir pattern plates, titled "Floréal: Dessins & Coloris Nouveaux" (Floreal: New Designs and Colors), created by Emile-Allain Séguy and published in Paris by A. Calavas in 1925 or earlier. The plate contains four ornamental designs, possibly for textiles or wallpapers, with lively, semi-abstract motifs inspired from nature. The first design is made up of a thin, vertical, purple undulating branch with semi-abstract flowers, colored with blue, dark brown, and yellow, and flower buds, colored with red, on a dark purple ground. The second design is made up of rosettes colored with shades of purple, and outlined with green, with thin, offsetting, scrolling branches, colored with two shades of green, on a purple ground. The third design is made up of vertical branches with leaves, colored with green, blue, and orange, with large, semi-abstract flowers, colored with bluish-green, brown, orange, white, blue, and light green, on a dark green ground. The fourth design is made up of thin, undulating lines, colored with white, gold, and blue, clusters of squares, colored with two shades of orange, and clusters of dots, colored with purple, on a dark blue ground.
