Five intact cards from Baseball card series (W553). Distributed by "Marble Gum", Philadelphia. Several color tints including blue, pink, and black and white. Full-length action-posed player. Facsimile signature, team and league printed within image. Photo is bordered by simulated ornate "frame". 10 baseball cards. New research shows non-sports (silent movie stars) also included in series. Each card measures approximately: 2 3/4 x 1 3/4". Back is blank.Strip contains (from top to bottom): Robert Grove, Philadelphia, American League; Burleigh Grimes, Pittsburgh, National League; Rogers Hornsby, Chicago, National League; Lou Gehrig, New York, American League; Babe Ruth, New York, American League.
