Glass mosaic dish fragment
Translucent purple, light blue partially appearing green, opaque yellow and white.
Outsplayed, almost horizontal rim with rounded edge; concave curving side, turned in at a sharp angle to bottom.
Composite mosaic pattern formed from polygonal sections, square segments, and rectangular lengths of five canes: the first in a purple ground with a white spiral around central blue rod; the second in a blue ground with a yellow spiral; the third in a purple ground with parallel white stripes; the fourth in squarish yellow backed by purple; and the fifth in squarish white backed by purple. The square segments are only visible on the interior. A purple network cane wound spirally with a white thread is attached as a rim.
Ground and polished interior; pitting of surface bubbles with slight weathering on interior; deep pitting, iridescence, and patches of creamy weathering on exterior; some weathering on jagged edges.
