An Architectural Capriccio

Luc Vincent Thiery de Sainte Colombe was a lawyer and art collector in 18th-century Paris who also drew and made etchings. This etched capriccio, or imaginary combination of architectural motifs, is based on a pen and ink drawing, also by Thiery de Sainte Colombe, which shows the same composition in reverse. For the drawing, see 2017.707.1.
