Translation of description on verso: After having successfully traversed and bombed the German lines, a French monoplane intended to declare victory from the start, but an engine breakdown forced him to land close to enemy lines: a patrol of Uhlans, who had followed the pilot's movements from afar, charged, to surprise him, arriving at the same time that the pilot flew upwards, outwitting his pursuers.
