The Farmer's Home --Summer
A three-story white house with green shutters is depicted behind a driveway encircling an island lawn accented by a tall tree; while a maid appears in the doorway, a woman (wearing a red shawl) and a child stand on the front porch waiting for a carriage, which approaches. At the right of the image, a boy opens the gate so a man in the two-horse drawn buggy can enter the driveway; a dog runs besides the horses. At the far right, there is a barn; a man and oxen are in the barn yard. At lower center, a rooster and chickens walk on the driveway. Trees are depicted at the far left.
