Not on view

Puiforcat, a Parisian family workshop that has continued for generations since the 1820s, developed its reputation for Art Deco glamour when the studio was run by Jean E. Puiforcat. He was renowned for the elegant, often mathematical simplicity of his geometric forms. Close friends with architects and designers such as Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Chareau, he borrowed many ideas from avant-garde architectural theories to influence his work as a master silversmith and sculptor.
