Not on view

This print reproduces part of a large, multi-paneled painted glass window that Sir Joshua Reynolds designed for the western end of New College Chapel, Oxford. He received the commission in 1777 and the final installation was complete by 1785 with Thomas Jervais (or Jarvis), painting the images on glass. A Nativity scene centers the design with shepherds and children adoring the Christ child at left and right. Below, a row of standing female figures represent Faith, Hope and Charity and the four Cardinal Virtues.
