"Subscriptions to the Tablet for Brewster & Co. of Broome-St./WE, the undersigned, hereby subscribe the sums set opposite our respective names, below for the purchase of a Golden Tablet and Scroll to be presented to Messrs. Brewster & Co., of Broome-street, New-York, the object of which is set forth in the following inscription which will appear upon the Tablets:

This tablet is presented to Messrs. Brewster & Co., of Broome-street, New-York, by Carriage-builders and others interested in the reputation of American Manufactures (whose names appear upon the accompanying Scroll), as a token of thanks to said firm for their splendid Exhibit of Carriages at the Paris Exposition, 1878, which contributed in a signal manner to advance such reputation."
