Dress
The full-blown revival of eighteenth-century dress, textile, and accessories in the 1880s is evident in the opulence and surfeit of details and shaping of this dress with a label from "L. R. Hollander & Co., Boston." Machine-made decoration allowed the 1880s to surpass the quantities of eighteenth-century ornament.
