Wrapping cloth for a wedding goose

Korea

On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 233

This modern wrapping cloth is made with machine stitching. It has subtle accents, such as a miniature jogakbo (patchwork wrapping cloth) motif, which cleverly attaches the long tail to the corner. The tail can be used to wrap gifts, such as the traditional wedding goose.
