Marble bowl
Technical analysis: Ultraviolet-induced visible light luminescence examination
This very fine, large white marble bowl is intact except for minor losses at the slightly elliptical rim. The shallow sides flare up and out to meet a rolled-rim that is underscored around the parameter of the interior. This bowl is one of the largest extant examples of this type. (1)
Accretions noticeable mostly on the upper half of the interior and on the rim. There is light reddish staining in one area of the interior and in a smaller area on the rim.
