A Weaver of Dreams is the story of a young girl named Judith who is unlucky in love and loses her fiancé to another girl. She isolates herself at home and finds the perfect lover in her dreams. The book was made into a silent film of the same name in 1918 starring Viola Dana. Armstrong's design for the cloth issue of A Weaver of Dreams (see the lavender version also displayed here) has a complex central panel that bears no resemblance to this red leather issue.
