Not on view
Italian-born designer Miuccia Prada earned her PhD in political science at the University of Milan and trained as a mime artist at Milan’s Piccolo Teatro before taking over her family’s leather-goods business in 1977. Initially recognized as a minimalist and for her subversive introduction of black nylon as a luxury material for clothing and accessories, Prada continues to examine the complexities of femininity and to challenge conventional notions of luxury.
