October 3-December 12, 2000; Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco, February 23-April 30, 2001; Louisiana Arts & Science Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, June 26-July 29, 2001; and Brooklyn Public Library, Brooklyn, New York, October-December, 2001. Traces the arc of Kingman's long career from his early success as a participant in the Public Works of Art Project in the 1930s, through his later work, which demonstrates his study and understanding of abstract technique. Includes a section with plates augmented with quotes from contemporary criticism.
