Commencement Ticket for New York University
This ticket granted entrance to New York University's 1846 commencement ceremonies. Founded in 1831, the university moved into the Gothic Revival building shown here in 1836. Designed by Town, Davis & Dakin, it was constructed on the east side of Union Square and was torn down in 1894.
