"Serious Play, an edition of thirty-five books, has been written, designed, typeset, letterpress printed and hand bound by Carol who also made the sample papers and stenciled the title page. Calligrapher and poet Sarah Roberts created the fabulous title words. Serious Play was digitally composed in Dante with Zerkall Book used for the text paper. Boxcar Press made the photopolymer plates"--Colophon



The text decribes the author's introduction to pastepapers and explores her friendship with bookbinder Arno Werner. The book includes early photographs of Werner as well as actual samples and reproductions of many papers used on Warwick Press projects
