John Willenbecher's print presents a geometric grid arrangement of five rows with four gray circles per row (some with black markings); yet in the last row (at bottom), all the circles are silver. The circles evoke celestial orbs, perhaps the moon. During the 1960s, the artist was making box constructions/assemblages, many containing rows of painted wooden spheres. Although he made few prints, this image has affinities with some of his box constructions.
