Bilbao and Galvarino
This is a detail of a mural that Siqueiros created for a school in Chillan, Chile, built with money collected in Mexico following the earthquake on January 24, 1939 which destroyed the city. According to testimony during hearings of the International Commission to investigate crimes of the Junta in Chile, the mural was destroyed (covered with tar) on the order of the Junta.
