Tobacco insert from Playing Cards (C165) manufactured by Macdonald Tobacco Company, Montreal to promote British Consols. Distributed from ca.1926–1947. 53 cards for each year of distribution. Cards are yellow tinted. On each card the printing is in red, green and black. Front includes playing card, card number, company name and address, serial number, and redemption offer with expiration date. The Joker card includes picture of a card of a hockey player.
