Book of WPA Work
Solid wood - likely soft pine - carved to resemble a small, leather-bound book, with the title in raised script on the cover. The wood is left exposed around the lettering, with the remaining surfaces painted in two tints of bronze paint. A thick coat of a clear natural resin finish covers the entire object. Two small blue tabs of an unknown material possibly suggest a bookmark.. -- description by Mindell Dubansky in consultation with Lynn Heckman.
