Riccio von Padua war der vitalste und innovativste Bronzekünstler der italienischen Renaissance und dies ist das schönste dekorative Objekt des Museums aus dieser heroischen Epoche. Vollständig mit Deckel und Beinen ist es die einzige komplette Öllampe der drei überlebenden Exemplare von ihm. Sie hat die Form einer Galeone: Die Seiten werden von Friesen gebildet, auf denen Putten beim Spiel mit Rammen zu sehen sind und ihre Extremitäten sind auffällig geschnörkelt, wie auch der Hals des bärtigen Monstrums, das auf den Docht zu pusten scheint.
