Can I bring a guest to the Museum?

  • Individual and Global Members may bring up to 1 guest.
  • Dual and Family Members may bring up to 2 guests.
  • Enthusiast and Ambassador Members and all Patrons may bring up to 4 guests.

Member guests do not need to wait in the ticketing line and may enter the galleries with the Member cardholder(s).

Which entrance should I use?

Members are welcome to enter through the 81st Street Member Entrance on the ground floor.

How do I get my digital Member card?

If you have not already received your digital Member card by email, please reach out to us at 212-570-3753 or membership@metmuseum.org.

Your physical Member card will continue to work as long as your Membership is active. The digital card is optional and designed for added convenience.

Where can I shop at The Met?

Our main store will be closed until 2027. Until then, Members can shop our latest art-inspired designs at temporary locations throughout The Met Fifth Avenue. View current Met Store locations here.

Can I visit the Balcony Lounge? How do I make a reservation?

The Members-only restaurant on the second floor is open to Members at the Dual level and above. Check the menu here.

Call 212-650-2910 or email BalconyLounge@metmuseum.org for reservations. We recommend Members make a reservation several days in advance.
