Questo raffinato insieme combina un’origine illustre con un disegno artistico raffinato che denota la maestria artigianale. Questi accessori, usati per il rito quotidiano di preparazione e vestizione di un nobile di grado elevato, rispecchiavano lo stato sociale del loro proprietario. Solitamente, un marito donava un completo di tale splendore alla moglie come “dono del mattino” dopo la prima notte di nozze. Creato ad Augusta, nota per la produzione di elaborati e ricchi servizi di argenteria, questo insieme apparteneva ai conti Schenk von Stauffenberg in Svevia. Un famoso discendente fu Claus von Stauffenberg, condannato a morte nel 1944 dopo un tentativo fallito di assassinare Adolf Hitler.
