灯油ランプ

パドヴァのリッチオはイタリア・ルネッサンスの最も重要で先駆的な青銅作品の彫刻師でした。この作品は当館が収蔵するこの時代の装飾品で最も優れたものです。蓋と脚部のあるこの作品は、彼が製作した現存する3点のうち、唯一完全な姿を保っています。古代の大型の帆船の形をしており、側面は雄羊と遊ぶプット(赤ん坊のような天使)を描いたフリーズで形成されています。先端部は、ランプの芯を吹いているかのような姿勢の顎髭を生やした怪物の首をはじめ、人目を引く渦巻き形に作られています。
