人物鳥文フィブラ

この作品は、現存する古代イタリア製の琥珀彫刻の中でも最も精巧な逸品です。底部にある穴の鉄製のピンの痕跡から、本来はフィブラ(安全ピン)だったと考えられます。小さな壺を持ち、左手の指で壺の口に触れている女性と、若く、ひげのない丸い顔立ちの男性が長椅子に横たわっています。肩には鳥が羽を休め、足元には小さな従者が立っています。これらの人物が人間または神のいずれかは分かっていません。
