首飾り
カルダーは1800点以上の宝飾品を手がけましたが、そのほとんどは1933年から1952年の間に作られました。その大半は、特別な祝い事に際し家族や友人に限定して贈られたものです。いずれもユニークな手作りの首飾り、腕輪、指輪、ブローチ、耳飾りであり、モービルや針金を曲げた彼の彫刻作品に見られるように、金工としての技術と視覚的な工夫が反映されています。真鍮の針金を叩いて平たい短冊状にし、それを線状のデザインに作り上げたこの首飾りは、彼の初期の針金による肖像と直接つながりがあります。
