同じくアメンホテプ3 世の治世に作られたこの若いガゼルの像は、エジプトの草原の起伏ある地面にその小さな足をそっと踏み出 しています。像の土台に刻み込まれ、青い顔料で埋められた羽のような植物が、そこここに生える草木を表しています。白鳥のような首に支えられた頭は警戒した様子で、柔らかな茶色の大きな目は世界を驚嘆とともに見つめています。現在は耳は折れ、別の素材でできていた角も失われています。
