기병의 방패

우아한 형태의 기사 방패는 타지스라고 불리며 고딕 후기 독일 지역에서 대회 또는 기갑 수색부대가 사용하였습니다. 이 작품에는 정교하게 표현된 문장이 그려져 있는데 프랑코니아의 고츠맨 가의 것이라 추정됩니다. 측면의 여성은 그들의 모토인 HAB MYCH ALS ICH BIN(나를 있는 그대로 받아들여라)이라고 새겨진 작은 기를 들고 있습니다. 은박 바탕에 아름다운 색상으로 그린 이 장식품은 수세기 동안 다른 작품들의 아래에 숨겨져 있어 제대로 보존되었습니다. 가죽으로 안감을 댄 방패의 뒷면에는 성 크리스토퍼의 작은 형상이 그려져 있어 방패를 든 자를 종교적으로 보호합니다.
