프랑스 왕 앙리 2세의 갑옷
현존하는 것 중 가장 정교하고 완벽한 프랑스의 장식용 갑옷입니다. 갑옷의 표면은 나뭇잎 소용돌이 패턴이 빽빽하게 양각으로 표현되어 있는데 이 패턴은 이탈리아 르네상스 후기와 매너리즘 장신구에서 유래한 고전 형상과 전설적인 동물 형상에서 유래된 것입니다. 앙리 2세가 좋아하던 상징인 초승달이 장식으로 들어가 있기도 합니다. 현재 이 갑옷의 최초 디자인 드로잉도 20점이 남아 있습니다. 그중 가장 오래된 것은 장 쿠쟁의 작품이며 나머지는 모두 16세기 중반 파리의 유명한 예술가였던 에티엔 드로네 또는 바티스트 펠르랭의 것이라 추정됩니다.
