직립상
자코메티는 높이가 1-2cm에 불과한 소상을 실험적으로 제작하던 것을 중지하고 1945년 이후 대형 작품 제작에 집중하기 시작하였습니다. 1947년까지 그의 작품에서는 걷는 남성상, 여성 직립상, 흉상 또는 두상 등 세 가지 주요 주제가 등장합니다. 실물보다 더 큰 이 여성 직립상은 양감이 제거되어 소외감이 느껴집니다. 이 작품의 비현실성은 작가가 청동에 칠한 베이지 도료에 의해 강조되고 있습니다. 침식된 것 같은 작품의 표면으로 인해 이 직립상은 수세기 동안 거친 기후를 견뎌낸 인상을 주며 그 자세는 고대 이집트 입상의 자세를 반영하고 있습니다.
