Leonard A. Lauder Curator of Modern Art and Senior Research Coordinator

As Creative Lead of the Bluff Collaborative, D'Alessandro develops research programs and builds creative collaborations inside and outside the museum that amplify the initiative’s impact. At the Met since 2017, she has organized exhibitions that expand thinking about international modern art, including Man Ray: When Objects Dream (2025), Surrealism Beyond Borders (1921), Tarsila do Amaral: Inventing Modern Art in Brazil (2017), Magritte: The Mystery of the Ordinary, 1926-1938 (2014), and Matisse: Radical Invention, 1913-17 (2010). She is part of the curatorial team working on new Tang Wing. D'Alessandro has a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago and serves on the advisory boards for the International Journal of Surrealism and Leonard A. Lauder Research Center for Modern Art.

Dani Hernandez joined The Met in 2025. She oversees the strategic development and research program for The Bluff Collaborative. Before joining The Met, Hernandez was an exhibition manager at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, where she organized domestic exhibitions including Beatriz Milhazes: Beauty and Rigor (2025) and Jenny Holzer: Light Line (2024), as well as such international shows as Signs and Objects: Pop Art from the Guggenheim Collection (2023). She holds an MA in Visual Arts Administration from New York University and a BA from the University of Michigan.
