- Photomechanical Prints: History, Technology, Aesthetics, and Use (2023)
Photomechanical prints have been long overlooked as materials meriting serious study, but scholars in art history and conservation have begun to question more deeply the historical boundaries between “fine art” and “reproductive” printing.
The selected postprints in this online publication were presented at the symposium Photomechanical Prints: History, Technology, Aesthetics, and Use held from October 31 to November 2, 2023, at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. The symposium was organized by the Foundation for Advancement in Conservation (FAIC).
