Complimentary Admission, Passes, and Vouchers
You may be eligible for complimentary admission if you meet the criteria below.
After arriving at the Museum, pick up your admission ticket at any ticketing desk.

Complimentary Admission
The Museum offers complimentary admission for the following visitors:
- Children under 12
- A caregiver accompanying a visitor with a disability
Complimentary admission tickets may also be obtained by presenting one of the following:
- A valid membership card from The Met
- An IDNYC card (IDNYC cardholders are eligible for a complimentary, one year IDNYC Membership at The Met. For more information, see Membership
- A valid membership card from AAM or ICOM (one ticket per card holder)
- A valid membership card from the Museum Council of NYC
- A reciprocal membership card from a participating institution
- A valid employee ID from one of our active corporate sponsors or a valid corporate courtesy card
- A valid press ID
- A Military ID (Mid-May – Labor Day) Blue Star Museum information here.
- A Bank of America card (first full weekend of every month as part of the Museums On Us Program). Please see eligibility requirements here.
- A valid staff or volunteer Museum ID from another Museum
The Met also offers complimentary admission tickets to current students from the following institutions:
- Bard Graduate Center
- Barnard College
- Columbia University
- Macaulay Honors College – CUNY
- New York City High School students
- NYU Institute of Fine Arts
- NYU Institute for the Study of the Ancient World

- A guest pass issued by The Met
- A Cool Culture pass
- A Culture Pass
Vouchers
Vouchers
As of April 1, 2022, vouchers or passes purchased on websites other than metmuseum.org will not be accepted for entry. Please purchase your ticket online or at any ticketing desk when you arrive.
