Artist Alison Rossiter's interest in the history of photographic materials inspired her to build over two decades an archive of vintage papers, including rare and notable stock dating to the early decades of photography. It also motivated her to produce cameraless photographs using the papers, which involves activating their chemical coatings in the development process. Met curator Stephen C. Pinson visited her studio on April 30, 2026, for a conversation about her work and archive.
