«Many of you may already know about Foursquare, which lets smartphone users share their location with friends and get tips and special discounts from the places they visit. But did you know that it also lets you connect with the Met?» When you visit the Museum's Main Building, "check in" on Foursquare to get behind-the-scenes tips from staff, earn a special Met Lover badge (by checking in on two separate occasions), and—beginning this month—get special discounts at the Museum's restaurants and gift shops. Special Discount
This month at The Petrie Court Café and Wine Bar, between 5:30 and 9:00 p.m. on a Friday or Saturday, show your waiter that you've checked in on Foursquare and receive a complimentary small plate with your purchase of beer or wine. We've got a lot more monthly discounts planned for the future—including in the Museum's gift shops and the Great Hall Balcony Bar—so be sure to check in every time you visit the Museum.
