Statue Base of Aha-aa

New Kingdom, Ramesside (?)

On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 130

Dedicated to the Bowman of Ptah, Aha-aa, this base once held a statue. The principal text, which asks the god Osiris to give Aha-aa (also called Khay) offerings of food, drink, and incense, runs from the center of the front around the base.
