Fragment of an Inlaid Bracelet

New Kingdom

On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 117

Part of a bangle bracelet of dark blue faience, the preserved section here bears part of an inscription, inlaid in a lighter blue faience, that includes a cartouche of Amenhotep III. Preserved here is his throne name, Nebmaatre, preceeded by several epithets.
