This trumpet, a rare form to be found in gold, is made from gold sheet that was shaped over worked bone. The designs of back-to-back C-shaped spirals interspersed with raised ridges, here worked in repoussé (hammered from the back), are also found on Malagana pottery.




La técnica utilizada para la fabricación de esta trompeta (una forma muy poco frecuente hecha con oro) es la del martillado de la hoja de metal moldeada sobre el hueso. En la alfarería de Malagana también están presentes estos diseños reiterados en forma de espiral, intercalados con crestas y repujados con martillado desde el reverso.
