Shoes

American

Not on view

The combination of black and pink or brown and pink is frequently seen in infants' shoes of the early to mid 19th century. While most shoes of this simple type fasten with a tie, the button closure on this example is a less common feature, and here is highlighted by a nicely detailed engraved brass button.
