On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 306

On the left are the Virgin and Child with saints; on the right, God the Father is depicted between Saints John the Baptist and John the Evangelist, with Saint George and the dragon below. These delicate openwork ivories, with their original color, were probably mounted under crystal covers as part of a locket reliquary.
