Designer Gertrud Preiswerk German

Not on view

Preiswerk was a member of the Bauhaus Weaving Workshop from the early 1920s until 1931, when she founded a textile company with Gunta Stölzl and Heinrich Otto Hurlimann. This example of Preiswerk’s abstract designs reflects the color theory she learned from Paul Klee, with whom she studied primary design at the Bauhaus.
