Description: Very loosely based on historical prototypes; flat one-piece maple back, shallow arched spruce top with flame holes, viol outline with top and back plates overhanging ribs, 5 bowed and sympathetic strings, blindfolded cupid head, ebony angled tailpiece and fingerboard inlaid with stripes, small perforated enclosure mounted on upper treble bout, ebony pegs with bone inserts and buttons (one peg missing), German endpin; with case (b).
