Evening suit

Designer Romeo Gigli Italian

Not on view

An elegant, but somewhat impractical, dinner suit assumes the position of modern fashion: one can apply one extravagant flourish to a fashion module, but no more. In Yves Saint Laurent's "Bird-of-Paradise" dress for Baroness de Rothschild, it was a sheer T-shirt. Here it is the feathers on a black suit.
