The top of the quilt is composed of sixteen blocks of finely woven white cotton, each appliquéd with flowers that have red and pink printed cotton petals and green leaves. The back is of a more coarsely woven white cotton, and the binding is of a red plaid cotton. The piece is quilted with a pattern of roundels and leaf sprays.
