Mary R. Whitlock
Mary R. Whitlock (1839-1915) was the daughter of Rebecca Smith Fanshaw and William Schenck Whitlock and the granddaughter of Daniel Fanshaw (1788-1860), a respected printer. Based on a later inscription, the sitter had been identified erroneously as Rebecca Fanshaw.
