Evening slippers

By the last quarter of the 19th century, shoes specifically matched to a particular evening dress became an increasingly common phenomenon. While white shoes could be economically dyed to coordinate with a special dress, the wealthiest clients would have shoes specifically made to match. This pair of top quality evening slippers features an eye catching fabric which has been carefully cut to make the most of the pattern. The shoes were made to match a Parisian couture evening dress.
