Suit
The construction of the skirt for this day suit, full at the top and tapering at the bottom, is similar to the hobble skirts of the period. The arrangement of brown and beige tones as well as the contrasting textures give the suit an apealing visual presence. It was worn by the donor's mother, Mrs. Wayland Minot of Boston (Anna Marie Shaughnessy), on her wedding day, April 12, 1913.
